Do you struggle to just LET … THAT … SHIT … GO?!! Well, here are my top 10 tips to start meditating.

Meditation is a great way to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. As a beginner, it’s important to start with short sessions and gradually increase the duration as you become more comfortable.

You can try different types of meditation, such as mindfulness meditation, loving-kindness meditation, or body scan meditation, to find what works best for you. It’s also helpful to find a quiet and comfortable space to meditate, and to focus on your breath or a specific mantra.

You can also listen to my podcast episode #165 about this HERE.

I started meditating when I was in my 20’s because my sister suggested that it might help me with exam stress. And it did!

Then when I was working on board cruise ships I decided to add in some meditation classes to the activities schedule, so that the guests could relax and be mindful, and so that I could find some sanity in the chaos. That was a big hit! I got loads of great comments from people saying how much they enjoyed those 1-hour meditation classes and that they were going to keep doing it once they got home.

If you are considering trying it … here are my top 10 tips to start meditating.

1. Find a quiet and comfortable place to meditate.

2. Set a specific time each day to meditate.

3. Start with short meditation sessions and gradually increase the duration.

5. Use guided meditations or meditation apps (like my Divine Reconnection app or the CALM app) to help you get started.

6. Experiment with different types of meditation, such as mindfulness, focusing on your breath or loving-kindness.

7. Don’t judge yourself if your mind wanders during meditation.

8. Try to incorporate meditation into your daily routine.

9. Be patient and persistent, as it may take time to see the benefits of meditation.

10. Seek guidance from a meditation teacher or community if you need additional support.
