This year I am discovering the FABULOUS benefits of moving meditations. It started when I was given a brilliant audio track from a personal trainer (from the USA) called Erin Stutland, who does fitness classes while saying positive affirmations out loud and getting her class to repeat them:
‘I … AM … STRONG … NOW … your turn … I … HAVE … ALL THAT I NEED! … I AM HAPPY, HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND LOVED … AND WHAT I SEEK IS ALSO SEEKING ME … I MAKE SPACE FOR GREATNESS … I CALL IN MY SUCCESS … I FOCUS ON GIVING … WHAT I GIVE IS WHAT I GET’ ….
I was surprised and delighted that I REALLY enjoyed listening to the audio track! It was super-fun and it was really making a difference to my mood as I did my daily walk.
I also started to add my own affirmations, breath more deeply, walk more mindfully, see the view more clearly and listen to the sounds around me.
So I thought … why not start a Walking Meditation group on the island and share some of these insights with others.
The Walking Meditation & Coffee group has been going since February this year and everyone is enjoying it … I am so grateful.
We have some wonderful beaches, parks, a labyrinth and natural places around Phillip Island … it’s easy to pick a new place to meet each week.
Meditation is not all about sitting cross-legged and chanting ‘Om’ … although that can be nice sometimes … it can be a lovely, flowing combination of breathe, nature and some like-minded people.
If you are keen to join us … give me a call. Pip :o)
