Are you aware of the source of your pain?

This week’s blog is about how to get to the source of your pain …
This topic has come up because there is an advertisement on TV for a pain killer that says “get to the source of your back pain” by using that medication.  And … I’ll be honest … it REALLY bugs me! It gets on my goat! It just sticks in my craw!! *grin* Yep … I get mad!
The reason I get mad is because it is NOT the SOURCE of pain in our lives that is being treated by a pain killer … it is the SYMPTOMS of the pain.
There is a huge difference between treating the outward symptoms and the true source. I will share a personal story to explain.
I have a niggly, pinching, crunchy left shoulder … it’s been there for about 10 years, on and off. Usually I’ve noticed that it gets worse when I am stressed or overwhelmed. I have tried many things to relieve it over the years including Massage, Acupuncture, Bowen therapy, Chinese Cupping, and they all worked for a few days.
I know that my physical body is just expressing what my emotional self cannot. I know that my body is holding onto something from my past. Something from 10 years ago – maybe even longer.
I know that the left side of the body is feminine – so it is about an imbalance regarding nurturing and receiving. And I know that shoulder issues (according to Louise Hay) represent taking on too many burdens and responsibilities.
It was only when I started using EFT (tapping)* that I discovered that my personal shoulder pain issue was also related to respect. I noticed that my shoulder gets worse when I am dealing with not honoring myself in some way or respect of others in a work/home/community space.
Now that I have discovered this personal emotional link – I am starting to release the true issue at the source of my shoulder pain. So my physical pain is gradually reducing.
If you are struggling with physical pain, stress, overwhelm, fear, grief, anxiety or any other issue that is limiting you, give me a call and we can try some EFT (tapping)* together.
Blessings
Pip
